It seemed a bit more epic in scope. But I’m just wondering…did everybody just FORGET about the 456? Or? It seemed like the premiere was being deliberately vague about whether or not anyone remembered the aliens that wanted everyone’s children. Like I can never tell what is going on with people in the Whoverse when it comes to whether or not Aliens are confirmed to exist. I mean, I suppose you could say its because the Universe got rebooted, and before that there were cracks in reality or fuckwhatever. But can we just make it clear whether or not the Masquerade is in effect? I just can’t tell. Did the Americans in the Whoverse just never hear about the 456? Was the Dalek attack(s) just wiped out of reality? What is going on? I don’t get it!! GREATER GEEKS THAN I SHOULD EXPLAIN IT TO ME. DID THE UNIVERSE REBOOT LITERALLY REBOOT THE UNIVERSE AND ERASE THE MEMORIES OF ALL THE RUSSEL T INVASIONS? WAS THE UNIVERSE REBOOT SOME SORT OF META MIDDLE FINGER TO THE LAST SHOWRUNNER? I’M SURPRISED THE OOD WEREN’T DRIVEN TO EXTINCTION OR SOMETHING. I DON’T GET IT I DON’T GET IT I DON’T GET IT.
And I really liked it. There was of course a couple of “HOLY SHIT” moments, but y’know. I thought it was going to be an “epic” episode a’la every season finale by Russel T. Davies ever…but then I remembered that we’ve been occupying Moffat Land for a while now, and I knew it’d be something different.
And it was. What I love about The Moff is that he’s VERY particular about his plotting. He places lots of little details, and he manages to tie everything up with a nice little bow by season’s end. In this episode he wrapped up Amy’s pregnancy, the floating eye-patch lady, the little regenerating girl, and River Song’s identity; and he did all of it in a very efficient way.
And while I expected Epic (and there was a bit of that as well, with the whole Oceans 11 style rescue mission, and the resurrection of characters/concepts/continuity nods from previous Moff episodes) I also got a lot of heart warming and tear jerking. It was a very emotionally resonating episode, and I’m eeeeagerly awaiting the next episode. :D
Tommy needs a tuxedo with a pretty blue bow tie to match his date’s dress. Why?

Why are bowties cool?
The Doctor said so.
Also, I need to get my hair done. But first it needs to be cut so it can have time to recover before the actual dance. >.< So much to dooo.
