This Christmas, I’m really narrowing down my list of wants. Mainly because having a trailing list of demands makes me feel like a kid, and also because I’m a lot more conscious of how much things cost (and how much my mom and her husband work to acquire such costs, especially in this economy), and I’ve realized a very nice logic chain.
The less I ask for, the more likely I am to obtain the things I truly want.
i.e. when you mix stuff you really want with stuff you kinda want, the result is that the chances of receiving the things you really want as a gift drops. Significantly.
This year I am asking for one very large present, and ‘accessories’ to go with it. The present: PS3. The accessories: God of War 3, Final Fantasy XIII, Infamous, Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time, Borderlands, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Heavy Rain, and Dragon Age: Origins. Also, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle and Mario Galaxy 2 for the Wii.
All of these games are old news. BUT, I missed them because all I own is a PS2 and a Nintendo Wii.
Unfortunately, my 17th birthday is fourteen days after Christmas, and all I want is an iPhone 4 for my birthday. That’s literally it.
If I get these things, I will be completely satisfied as far as technology goes. Like, legit. And lately I feel like I need video games more than anything, as I am handling a lot more stress lately.
